…and technology content.

• The program grew beyond the Loita Hills to schools over 100 kilometers away.

We grieve the lives, livelihoods, and opportunities lost due to COVID, and at the same time, we are grateful for the unexpected opportunity it created to work with communities in Kenya to explore paths we were too uncertain to explore before. Teachers that were previously intimidated by technology now hope to continue to use the tablets, opening up many doors of opportunity.

As students in Kenya return to their classrooms this month, we are also returning to our core programs while continuing to support this new digital learning opportunity for students and teachers. The Morijo-Loita Day Secondary School that opened its doors for the first time a year ago is back open and working to become registered with the government. We are working with a second community, Olmesutie, to open another day secondary school, providing access to secondary school for hundreds of nearby children.

Asante (thank you) from the bottom of our hearts, for the support you’ve given, and continue to give, to support this work –– and the dreams of hundreds of hopeful young people in Kenya.
