ENTASEKERA, KENYA

Entasekera is one of the largest villages in the Loita Hills region we work in. We maintain our office there and began our outreach and enrollment work there shortly after in 2019. In 2020, Najma, pictured at left, and nearly thirty other 8th graders from the local primary studied four hours a day during COVID-school closures to successfully use our remote learning program to prepare for Kenya’s critical secondary school entrance exam, the KCPE.

Importantly, because Entasekera is one of the largest communities in the region, the new day secondary school we are launching with the community in 2024 will offer affordable, attainable secondary education to thousands of students into the future.
