Kayce is a humanitarian, ecologist, mom, explorer, and student. She feels strongly that education is a right and a leverage point to address many global challenges. She completed a bachelor degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder and a PhD at the University of California, Davis. She applies her training as an ecologist to our work, combining evidence based methods and community input to improve education outcomes for girls. In 2022 she was recognized with CU Boulder’s prestigious George Norlin Award for her work founding For the Good , an honor she shares with a select group of CU alumni including a Mercury Seven Astronaut, a former Supreme Court judge and a pioneering, beloved Everest mountaineer and physician.

Kayce loves to see people set big goals and succeed. There is not much distinction between Kayce's work and personal lives. In all cases, she tries to stay outside more than in, surround herself with people she respects, and challenge her own preconceptions, all things which serve her well in her role leading our organization.
